We set up a symmetrical grid based on Jan Tschichold's layout; we opened a new sheet of paper in illustrator with the size A4  in the portrait format. after I did this I placed in diagonal lines across the both papers and created the shape above. after I did this I opened the ruler set up and put in the y axis as shown above. after tht i placed in two boxers to show how textbook layouts are created.

Today i learn how to use some type tool characters such as leading , tracking and kerning . 1. The typeface can affect the audience because of its clarity and space out the words are . 2. When looking at text (this might be in a magazine, on a web site or on your own presentation you are currently preparing), what do you think the effect of having greater space (leading) between the lines of type might be?   Its easier to read and people will mostly likely take time to read the magazine with greater space . 3. What do you think happens when viewing text if there is too much space between the letters (tracking)? Creating a page layout wasn't much of a challenge for me . With basic tool and knowledge you can get it done . First of i started by creating A4 landscape page and then go to art-board in the tool dock and create a new page by clicking new art-board next to the trash can at the top . I've use the symmetrical grid to construct the layout . The format of the book was format by 33mm to 99mm length . margins are space out well giving space for text to be type within them and grid are well place to make the rectangle for the type are equal and well measured . column are not well equal but ill then have to fix that with little bit of tweaking .

A category of  typefaces  that do not use  serifs , small lines at the ends of characters. Popular   sans serif fonts   include Helvetica,   Serif fonts  include Times Roman. According to most studies,  sans serif fonts  are more difficult to read.  Me testing out the touch tool moving individual shapes around and changing colors . Using the type tool and by dragging from one left top edge to the bottom right edge .  changing the font of the text to serif type style making it more understandable to read .  By    Going  to Type > Area Type Options the adjusting how many colums you want to have on your page . i have created a 3d can structure using illustrator . First off i had to get an circle the same size as the label of the tin and i divide it by pie 3.14 . i then went to effect , 3d and in to extrude and bevel . An menu will open with different function. Click on preview and adjust the the hight of the can as the same height as the label to  fit perfect . when the size of the can is right you then click on add art and from the symbol panel where you add your label you add it to and it will look like something above wrapped around .
